Close your Zempler Bank account
Before closing your account, have you considered changing to a different pricing plan that may suit your needs better? If you’ve considered the others available and would still like to close your account, this can easily be done in-app:
- Log in to the Zempler Bank app
- Make sure your account balance is £0.00
- Make sure your pot balance is £0.00
- Go to ‘Settings’
- Select ‘Manage Account'
- Select ‘Close account’
- We’ll close your account immediately and you’ll receive a confirmation within 24 hours
If you want to close your account in Online Banking, go to Settings > Account details > Close Account and follow the prompts.
If you have an account with a Creditbuilder or overdraft add-on, you won’t be able to close your account until you’ve completed your Creditbuilder or paid off your overdraft.

We’ll send you a confirmation email to let you know that your account has been closed.
If your Zempler Bank account has been closed and you want your statements, you can download them from the Zempler Bank app or Online Banking. If you’re unable to do this, you can call our Customer Service team who can get these sent to you.
Through the Zempler Bank app and Online Banking, you can download up to five years’ worth of statements for 60 days after closing your account.
You can also ask us for your statements at a later date. We can give you up to five years’ worth from the day you request them. For example, if you request your payment transaction history three years after closing your account, you’ll receive the last two years of statements for that account.
It's free for our Customer Service team to send you your statement(s), but we may charge a fee for excessive requests.
